Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider spoke to reporters this afternoon and gave an important injury update on https://www.mlb.com/player/george-springer-543807 ahead of game 6.
George Springer might be back in the lineup for game 6
Fans were worried that the
Blue Jays might be in trouble without Springer in the lineup for game 5 last night but their offense was running on all cylinders despite missing one of their best players.
Schneider spoke to media this afternoon and it looks like there is a chance that Springer ends up playing in game 6.
George Springer (midsection) came close to starting Game 5, per Blue Jays manager John Schneider, who added that "he's checked every box physically so far."
Sounds like a strong possibility Springer's in the Blue Jays lineup for Game 6 if he continues trending the way he has.
According to Schneider, Springer was close to playing in game 5 but they ended holding off but he did add that so far Springer has checked off every box heading into game 6.
Springer has been one of the biggest surprises this season for the Blue Jays after a tough year in 2024, he has been one of their best players in 2025 and is a big reason why they are in the World Series.
The Blue Jays will likely wait once again until right before game time to announce their lineup for game 6 tomorrow as they will wait until the last minute to decide if Springer can play.
The lineup for game 6 should be posted by 5 PM ET with the first pitch coming at 8 PM ET at the Rogers Centre.
