The Toronto Blue Jays are in the mix for one of the top free agents available in relief pitcher Pete Fairbanks.

Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins did state in a recent press conference that the team will be looking at all options when it comes to their closer Jeff Hoffman and possibly moving him out of that role.

Blue Jays linked to Pete Fairbanks

There is a lot of pitchers available on the free agent market this winter but one of the top pitchers available is Fairbanks.
According to recent reports, the Blue Jays are among the top teams interest in signing Fairbanks this off-season as he would be an incredible addition to their bullpen.

The Blue Jays are clearly not the only team interested in Fairbanks as the Los Angeles Dodgers are apparently among the top teams interested as well.
Rosenthal: Dodgers, Blue Jays among teams expected to pursue Pete Fairbanks.
Landing Fairbanks will not be easy for the Blue Jays as he is one of the top relief pitchers available but due to well their 2025 season went and their World Series appearance, they have a better shot than they would have had last year.
This season with the Tampa Bay Rays, Fairbanks finished with a 2.83 ERA in 60.1 innings pitched to go along with 59 strikeouts, a 4-5 record and 27 saves.
If the Blue Jays were to move Hoffman out of the closer role, Fairbanks would certainly be an upgrade for that slot.
