The Toronto Blue Jays announced yesterday that they have placed relief pitcher Easton Lucas on release waivers and it looks like he plans on leaving the MLB.

After news broke last night regarding Lucas being placed on unconditional waivers, it was reported that he was expected to be leaving the MLB and heading to play overseas once he cleared waivers.

This seems to be a bit of a surprising move for Lucas since he is still young and could have likely found a new minor league deal this off-season but it seems like he feels more confident going to play in Japan.
It will be interesting to see how he does overseas and if he is able to turn his game around in hopes of returning to the MLB one day.
