The Toronto Blue Jays announced yesterday that they have placed relief pitcher Easton Lucas on release waivers and it looks like he plans on leaving the MLB.
The Blue Jays announced yesterday afternoon that they have decided to place Lucas on unconditional release waivers to clear up space on their current roster.

After news broke last night regarding Lucas being placed on unconditional waivers, it was reported that he was expected to be leaving the MLB and heading to play overseas once he cleared waivers.
The Blue Jays placed lefty Easton Lucas on unconditional release waivers today.

According to certain rumors, it looks like Lucas will be headed to the NIppon Professional Baseball league in Japan next season.

This seems to be a bit of a surprising move for Lucas since he is still young and could have likely found a new minor league deal this off-season but it seems like he feels more confident going to play in Japan.
It will be interesting to see how he does overseas and if he is able to turn his game around in hopes of returning to the MLB one day.
