After Guerrero's homerun, the Blue Jays never looked back the rest of the game after a solid performance from Gausman but there could have been quite the turning point just before Gausman was pulled as the bases were loaded.
Gausman spoke after the game on walking Aaron Judge with a full count at one point to which he stated he did because that is the type of hitter that can turn the game around with one swing.
Kevin Gausman says that once it got to 3-2 on Judge, he was OK with a walk because «he can blow the game open with one swing»
He liked how he'd set Judge up with his previous pitch, though, and had been looking for a shot to go down-and-away the whole time. #BlueJays

Clearly this was the right decision as the team then pulled Gausman, brought in Louis Varland who closed out the inning and left all three Yankees stranded on base.
The Blue Jays ace also spoke about how the fans were at the Rogers Centre this afternoon to which he stated it was electric, he could not believe how loud it was.
Kevin Gausman on the environment at Rogers Centre today:
"It was pretty electric ... it was so loud in here. It was crazy."

Trey Yesavage will now have to follow in Gausman's footsteps in his first career playoff game tomorrow afternoon in hopes of giving the Blue Jays a 2-0 lead.
