Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Max Scherzer spoke to the media about his future and touched on retirement during the interview.
Max Scherzer speaks on the possibility of retirement
Scherzer made MLB history in the playoffs as he made it to the World Series with his fourth team and ended up playing a crucial part in the series starting games 3 and 7 for Toronto.
"I'll give a full answer on that later," -Scherzer
However, Scherzer did add that he does not see how game 7 could be the last game he has pitched in his career.
"But I will say this: I just don't see how that's the last pitch I've ever thrown." -Scherzer
Clearly Scherzer is not set on what he will be doing when looking at next season since he is now 41 years old but as he showed in the playoffs, he seems to still have a lot to give to the game of baseball.
Scherzer was a big part of this Blue Jays team and despite missing a big portion of the season, they would have not gotten to the World Series without his help on and off the field.
The Chances of the Blue Jays bringing Scherzer back next season seem to be slim but it looks like he is not ready to hang up his cleats just yet.
