The Blue Jays announced their lineup this afternoon in which Bichette was surprisingly not on but it seems to be like that was always the plan.

Schneider spoke to the media this afternoon after the lineup was announced and stated that Bichette's knee is actually feeling better than expected today and that he is available off the bench.
Bo Bichette (knee) «probably feels a little bit better than he expected» today & told John Schneider he's available off of the bench
The Blue Jays manager added that Bichette is ready to play today and they he simply is not starting because they did not want to rush his return.
Schneider on Bo Bichette:
«He'll be ready to play today, for sure. But really, after the layoff, didn't want to kill him, you know.»

Bichette not starting game 2 was apparently always the plan but now that he is feeling better, there is a chance they bring him in sooner rather than later.
No change with Bo Bichette's status, per John Schneider. Also said he felt better than expected this morning, and not having him start today was part of the plan.

How the Blue Jays end up using Bichette will definitely come down to how the Blue Jays come out of the gate in game 2.
