The Toronto Blue Jays announced today that top pitching prospect, Andrew Bash has won the Most Valuable Pitcher award for the Buffalo Bisons of Triple-A.

The right-hander started the season as a part of the Bisons rotation and was basically unhittable. H did not allow more than 3 earned runs in not a single game out of his 16 starts.

Unfortunately for him and the team, he went down with an injury in the month of June. Since coming back, he had 13 consecutive starts, achieving a 2-0 record with a 4.38 ERA.

Bash was then moved to the Bisons bullpen and proved to have found a home there as he posted a 0.89 WHIP and an astounding 2.66 ERA in his 11 relief appearances. Due to his efforts, he was named the teams best pitcher.

Congratulations Bash!
