The Toronto Blue Jays have quite the prospect pool, but none are better than Trey Yesavage and RJ Schreck, whom have been awarded the top prospects in the Blue Jays system by MLB Pipeline.
Everyone knows about Yesavage's rise through four levels to get to the MLB, all the way to pitching in the World Series, and being the best rookie pitcher the Blue Jays have ever had. Schreck was no slouch himself in triple-A however.
"Yesavage was all but guaranteed to win the award. Drafted 20th overall in the 2024 draft, the 22-year-old righty made his professional debut in 2025, going from Single-A to starting Game 1 of the World Series. Between all four «A» levels in 2025, Yesavage had a 3.12 ERA and 2.52 FIP in 98 innings pitched, with a 41.1 K% and 10.5 BB%."-Delaney
Yesavage will most likely be one of the top starters for the Blue Jays next season and it will be interesting to see how he does in a full MLB season.
Schreck who was a product of a trade with the Seattle Mariners has definitely proved his worth, and should be in the majors in the next few years. We might even see the left-handed outfielder appear for the Blue Jays as early as 2026.
"Schreck began the season with the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats, slashing .266/.396/.518 with nine home runs in 169 plate appearances, with a 15.4 BB% and 20.9 K% for a 166 wRC+. He didn't slow down once being promoted to the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons, slashing .242/.392/.435 with nine home runs in 234 plate appearances for a 129 wRC+."-Delaney
The Toronto Blue Jays are building a reputation for developing prospects into legitimate major league players. And Yesavage and Schreck will be the stars of the show, showing good the Blue Jays development team is.
