The Toronto Blue Jays seem to be heading down a tough path with Bo Bichette as the Philadelphia Phillies are now apparently aggressively pursuing him.
Bichette has now been linked to a number of teams with the latest being the Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox who both seem to be willing to make him an offer.
Phillies are going after Bo Bichette
The Blue Jays have said that they still want to have Bichette back but unfortunately their actions have pointed otherwise as they seem to be more focused on Kyle Tucker for the moment.
According to the latest rumors, the Phillies are now aggressively pursuing Bichette and could see him as a perfect fit in the middle of their order next season.
Sources: #Phillies are «heavily engaged» in the Bo Bichette sweepstakes. Would be an exceptional fit in the middle of that order. Would signal the end of JT in Philly barring a crazy deal as I connected them with Caratini earlier on today. #Phillies are BIG players here. #MoccBomb
While some believe that the Blue Jays are still all in on Bichette, as they continue to take their time and wait for the market to set around him, it is hard to imagine it not bothering him that they have yet to make an offer.
The Blue Jays are "still engaged with Kyle Tucker and Bo Bichette" and are "positioned well" in that market segment.
It has almost been two months since the off-season began and the Blue Jays have met with Bichette but have yet to make him a single offer which is not the best look for a team that has been with him his entire career.
For the time being, Toronto seem to be prioritizing Tucker over Bichette but that could change if Tucker ends up signing elsewhere this off-season.
