Bob Nightengale delivers incredible update on Bo Bichette's contract with the Blue Jays
MLB insider Bob Nightengale recently gave a large update on all the top free agents and had some big things to say about the Toronto Blue Jays and Bo Bichette.
In a recent report, the Blue Jays were mentioned as the top landing spot for Bichette but the New York Yankees were also stated as an option that the all-star shortstop would consider.

In a recent update, Nightengale stated that the Blue Jays are expecting to re-sign Bichette this off-season but did not specify the size of the contract which will likely be quite large.

Bichette was expected to leave Toronto this off-season and the beginning of last year with many even thinking he would be traded at the deadline in 2025 but after an incredible season, it looks like the Blue Jays will be holding onto him.
Bichette, who was expected to depart Toronto a year ago and whose name surfaced a year ago in trade talks now is expected to stay put to complete their goodwill tour. -Nightengale
While nothing is for certain until a contract is signed, if Nightengale is hearing that a deal will get done, there is a good chance that he ends up being right unless things in the Blue Jays and Bichette's relationship changes in the coming months.
The Blue Jays will likely not wait too long to get a deal done as the longer the wait, the more chances they give to other teams to beat their offer.
