Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Anthony Santander played in his first rehab game with the Buffalo Bisons yesterday and had a very encouraging performance.
The Blue Jays announced yesterday afternoon that Santander would make his much anticipated return return last night and the game went quite well for the slugger.

Santander has been dealing with some big injury issues this season which held him back from performing the way he usually does at the plate.
Fans got to see a glimpse of the old Santander yesterday as he hit a solo homerun in the top of fifth inning of his first rehab game for the Buffalo Bisons.
Anthony Santander just hit a solo, 396-foot homer for Triple-A Buffalo in his third plate appearance of the game.
He hit a low two-strike changeup 102.4 MPH out to right field for the lead.

Santander ended the day going 1 for 3 at the plate with two walks which is very encouraging for the Blue Jays since this is only his first game since the end of May when he hit IL.
Sportsnet reporter Shi Davidi even stated ahead of the Blue Jays game against the Astros that adding a healthy Santander to the Blue Jays lineup this late in the season and be a massive x-factor for the playoffs.
"You can definitely use a healthy Santander's impact in the lineup."

If the Blue Jays can get Santander back at the top of his game for the playoffs, they will be adding one of the best hitters in the MLB to their already stacked lineup.
