Former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Anthony Kay has reached an agreement with the Chicago White Sox on a two year deal.
There were reports of a possible reunion between the Blue Jays and Kay as they were looking for a left handed pitcher but it looks like that won't be happening.

MLB insider Robert Murray just broke the news that Kay has reached an agreement on a two year deal with the White Sox after spending the last few years overseas.

Last season, Kay had a great year in Japan as he finished with a 1.74 ERA in 155 innings pitched while also putting up a 0.98 WHIP.

The deal between the White Sox and Kay is a two year $12 million contract which will pay Kay as average salary of $6 million per year.

Kay's best season in the MLB remains his 2020 campaign with the Blue Jays where he finished with a 5.14 ERA in 21 innings pitched to go along with 22 strikeouts.
It will be interesting to see if the White Sox end up using Kay as a starter or as a relief pitcher next season.
