The Cleveland Guardians just traded for Justin Bruihl and in a quick turn around have already cut ties with him less than a week later.
The Blue Jays announced earlier this week that they DFA'd Bruihl to make room on their roster for Tyler Rogers after they officially signed him. Then, Toronto traded Bruihl to the Guardians in exchange for cash considerations.

The Guardians ended up signing veteran pitcher Shawn Armstrong to a one year Major League deal yesterday with a mutual option for 2027.
Due to this signing, the Guardians had to clear up space on their 40 man roster which led to them designating Bruihl for assignment right after the signing.
We have signed RHP Shawn Armstrong to one-year Major League contract with a mutual option for the 2027 season.
In a corresponding move, we have DFA'd LHP Justin Bruihl.

Bruihl had a tough time with the Blue Jays last season after he finished with a 5.27 ERA in 13.2 innings pitched while bouncing between the minors and majors throughout the entire year.
Now Bruihl has been DFA'd twice and traded once in the past three days which is certainly not the off-season he was hoping for.
There is a chance that Bruihl ends up sticking around in Cleveland if he ends up unclaimed and accepting his assignment but many believe that he will end up electing free agency if he is not claimed on traded.
If the Guardians do end up trading him, there is a good chance that he ends up they will not get much in return similar to the Blue Jays and will get cash considerations.
