The Toronto Blue Jays bullpen cannot seem to catch a break with injuries especially after the unfortunate update announced regarding pitcher Yimi Garcia.

Toronto has dealt with a lot of injuries so far this season including Anthony Santander who might be done for the season as it was reported yesterday that he is still weeks away from swinging a bat.

Yimi Garcia might not be returning to the Blue Jays lineup for quite some time

While recovering from an ankle injury, Garcia started to deal with a never issue in his right elbow similar to the injury he dealt with last season but it looks like it is even worse this time around.
Garcia told the media that the issue is currently going all the way to his fingers which is why he believes that this injury is worse than the one he dealt with last season.
Garcia, who is dealing with similar ulnar nerve issues in his right elbow that dogged him last season, is visiting a specialist Wednesday to try and plot next steps, and he said, «I feel it maybe a little bit worse this time because it's going all the way to all my fingers.» -Garcia

Toronto will have Garcia see a specialist tomorrow and are hoping that he is not done for the season but it definitely is not looking good as of right now.
The best case scenario in terms of Garcia would be a return in mid-august but that looks like it might not happen which is why they needs to make sure to acquire at least one pitcher at the trade deadline.
If they can't count on Garcia's dependable and dominant leverage work out of the bullpen, their relief needs become far more acute. Similarly, a mid-August return is likely the best-case scenario now for Santander, who's been out since May 30 with left shoulder inflammation stemming from a subluxation suffered earlier that month, perhaps moving the addition of an impactful position player up the priority list. -Singh

The Blue Jays bullpen has been terrific for them this season but with all of these injuries including Ryan Burr needing season ending surgery, the Blue Jays will be forced to look outside help.
