Don Mattingly has some big words for the Toronto Blue Jays during interview
Toronto Blue Jays coach Don Mattingly recently spoke about the current state of the team and had some pretty great things to say.
Mattingly has not the only one with great comments about the Blue Jays lately as even veteran George Springer spoke about how grateful he is for his teammates during recent interview.
Don Mattingly states this is the best team he has been a part of
The Blue Jays coach recently spoke with on field reporter Hazel Mae and had some big praises for the team after their final game against the Houston Astros.
Mattingly told Mae that this team is the best team he has been around from talent, to likeability and team chemistry, adding that coaching them this season has been a lot of fun.
In a conversation I had with Mattingly prior to the finale vs. Astros, he told me:
"This is the best team I've been around."

Manager John Schneider told Ben Nicholson-Smith that Mattingly told him this team plays like in the movie The Sandlot, they just got out there, play baseball and have fun.
John Schneider says Don Mattingly has remarked on how much Blue Jays players appear to be enjoying this run. "It's like the sandlot," Mattingly told Schneider. "These guys are just out playing baseball and having fun."
While talent is very important to have, these types of messages from people inside the organization make it seem like the Blue Jays really have a chance at going all the way this season with the chemistry they have.
