Former Blue Jay blasts the team for latest roster move
Former Toronto Blue Jays Whit Merrifield voiced his frustration with the team regarding Jose Berrios during a recent episode of his podcast.
The Blue Jays recently decided to move Berrios to the bullpen but that did not last long as he was just placed on IL with right elbow inflammation.

There is a good chance that Berrios is done for the season with his latest injury update even though his first opinion came back clean with no structural damage.
First MRI revealed no structural damage in Jose Berrios' elbow, said Blue Jays manager John Schneider. Berrios is getting a second opinion to confirm that diagnosis before next steps are set.
During a recent episode of his podcast, Merrifield stated that the Blue Jays should have never moved Berrios to the bullpen as he is the hardest working player on the team.

Merrifield played with Berrios a few years ago so he certainly has a biased opinion on the situation because when looking at the numbers it was clearly the right move.
Now that Max Scherzer is also struggling quite a bit there is a chance that Berrios could be brought back to the rotation if his injury ends up not being too serious.
