Former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Chris Bassitt is still looking for his next deal but it looks like he might have finally found a new landing spot in the NL.

There has been a few teams that are reportedly interest in Bassitt such as his former team, the New York Mets but there has been no information on a potential offer made just yet.

San Francisco Giants seem interested in Chris Bassitt

The Giants are looking to bounce back after last season and a big whole they need to tend to this off-season is their starting rotation which could use some help as they only really have Logan Webb and Robbie Ray as reliable options.
«The San Francisco Giants entered the offseason as a popular sleeper pick to sign Tucker, Cody Bellinger, Tatsuya Imai and several of MLB's top free agents. Those expectations were misplaced, though, as Buster Posey appears to be operating with his hands tied by ownership,» Kline wrote. «All the same, San Francisco could use a bit of rotation depth behind Logan Webb and Robbie Ray.» -Christopher Kline

Fan Sided MLB reporter Christopher Kline seems to believe that Bassitt would be a great fit in San Francisco and would have the chance to return to the starting rotation after finishing the season with the Blue Jays as a reliever.
«The man is a machine, reliant on off-speed and breaking stuff rather than pure velocity,» Kline continued. «That should, hopefully, allow Bassitt to age with a bit of grace. He can eat innings, at the very least, and that's what the Giants need.» -Christopher Kline

Blue Jays fans would love to have Bassitt back, especially in a reliever role due to how crucial he was for them in the playoffs and despite having a soft spot for Toronto, Bassitt will likely end up going somewhere he can return to the roation.
Bassitt would certainly be a solid fit for the Giants and despite not having his best year last season, he still managed to finish with a respectable 3.96 ERA and 11-9 record in 32 games last season.
No matter where Bassitt ends up next season, Blue Jays fans will be wishing him nothing but the best for everything he has done for the team and the city of Toronto over the last 3 years.
