Toronto Blue Jays former relief pitcher Ryan Yarbrough has found himself a new contract for the 2026 season.
The MLB off-season is well underway and the Blue Jays actually made their first signing last night as they agreed to a minor league deal with infielder Carlos Mendoza.
Former Blue Jay Ryan Yarbrough signs with the New York Yankees
The Yankees announced yesterday that they have decided to sign Yarbrough to a new one year deal as he will be headed back to the Bronx for the 2026 season.
The New York Yankees today announced that they have re-signed left-handed pitcher Ryan Yarbrough to a one-year Major League contract.
The deal is a one year deal worth $2.5 million for the 2026 season.
Yarbrough had a bit of a down year in 2025 with the Yankees as his ERA ended up being 4.36 in 19 games and 64 innings pitched in which he struck out a total of 55 batters.
Blue Jays fans were upset when Toronto decided to not bring him back late into Spring Training but it looks like it was a smart decision after the season he just had.
During the 2024 season, Yarbrough pitched 31.1 innings for the Blue Jays in which he finished with a 2.01 ERA and 26 strike outs to go along with a 1-0 record which is why fans wanted him back.
The Blue Jays have yet to make any deals involving their bullpen just yet but surely something is on the way as they need to start making some big moves and quickly.
