The San Diego Padres announced that they are finalizing a deal with former Toronto Blue Jays infielder Ryan Goins as one of their new coaches.
Former Jays have been landing quite a few coaching jobs this off-season as Don Mattingly was hired as the Phillies new bench coach as well yesterday.

The Padres have made quite a few changes to their staff this off-season and now announced that they are finalizing a deal with Goins to be their new infielder coach for next season.
The Padres are close to finalizing their coaching staff under Craig Stammen. Per sources, they're expected to add Bob Henley (third-base coach), Kevin Plawecki (catching), and Ryan Goins (infield). Nick Punto, who helped coach the infield last season, is returning.
A moment in Goins career that is known by all baseball fans was his hidden ball trick out against the New York Yankees on Todd Frazier.
According to @dennistlin Ryan Goins is the Padres new infield coach.

Goins spent 8 years in the MLB in which 5 of those years came in Toronto with the Blue Jays between 2013 and 2017.
The best season of his career came with the Blue Jays in 2017 when he finished with 9 home runs and 62 RBIs in 143 games and a .237 batting average which would end up being his final season in the MLB.
Goins retired in 2023 after being released by the Kansas City Royals and spent the last couple years as a coach with the Los Angeles Angels.
