Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider spoke to the media this afternoon for the first time since the World Series and gave an update on Anthony Santander.

Ross Atkins spoke with the media yesterday and gave a worrying injury update Shane Bieber regarding his current elbow after the playoffs.

John Schneider speaks on the off-season and Anthony Santander

Schneider told reporters that he believes the main area the Blue Jays need to improve this off-season is their bullpen and a bat in certain aspects.

John Schneider on the #BlueJays' areas they can improve:

"Bullpen sticks out a little bit, and probably a bat of some sort."

"You feel good about your offense, but adding would be would be nice and I think that's a priority. Adding another high leverage bullpen arm is another."

Santander current health situation also came up during the press conference in which Schneider stated that he is finally back to normal after missing the majority of the season and playoffs.

Anthony Santander's back and shoulder “finally feel normal” Schneider said.

“Tony is going to be huge for us.”

The Blue Jays seem to have some big expectations for Santander heading into next year after such a tough 2025 season.

Santander was arguably the Blue Jays biggest signing last season but was also their biggest disappointment which is why if he can return to the player he once was, it will be like if the Blue Jays added a 30+ home run hitter to their lineup this off-season.
