Ernie Clement's World Series gig is a hit. The Blue Jays infielder's postgame interview with Brice Turang is making the rounds after Milwaukee's Game 3 win.
The Brewers rolled past the Rays 10-1 on Monday at Tropicana Field. Milwaukee now leads the series 3-0 and sits one win from the first title in franchise history.
Turang was a big part of it. He went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs.
Robert Gasser dominated on the mound, allowing just one hit over six scoreless innings.
Clement, working Games 3 and 4 as an MLB correspondent, caught up with Turang afterward. MLB shared the clip as the Brewers moved “one win from HISTORY!”
The clip shows Clement, microphone in hand, grinning as he checks in with Turang after the blowout.
Freddy Peralta's rough night adds a Blue Jays subplot
On the other side, Freddy Peralta took the loss. The ALCS MVP allowed five earned runs over 4.2 innings.
That's notable in Toronto. SI's Zion Trammel recently urged the Jays to pursue Peralta in free agency, warning a big World Series could raise his price.
Did his price just drop? Maybe a little, and Ross Atkins should be paying attention.
As for Clement, the role suits him. He set a postseason record with 30 hits in 2025, so he knows exactly what these players are feeling.
MLB found a natural. His easy, player-first style is exactly what these segments need, and fans clearly agree.
Watching him with a microphone is like seeing a teammate host the team banquet. He already knows everyone, so the conversation just flows.
He's working alongside Miguel Rojas and Payton Tolle. Rojas, of course, tied Game 7 of the 2025 World Series against Toronto.
Game 4 could be the clincher, and Clement will be there for it. If the Brewers finish it off, the man who set the postseason hits record gets a front-row seat to someone else's celebration.
