The Toronto Blue Jays announced that they have finalized their coaching staff with their latest three hires.
The Blue Jays former bench coach Don Mattingly ended up leaving the organization at the end of the season and is in the process of finalizing a deal to become the bench coach in Philadelphia.

According to reports the Blue Jays are bringing in two external hires and one internal promotion to complete their coaching staff for the 2026 season.

The two external hires the Blue Jays made were Drew Butera who was with the Chicago White Sox as their catching coach over the last few years.
Butera was with the White Sox as catching coach the last few years, but he'll also be familiar for #BlueJays fans that watched the 2015 playoffs.
He was with the Kansas City Royals from 2015-17, played in the '15 ALCS vs TOR and caught the final out of the World Series.

The other hire announced is Eric Duncan who was the director of position player development in 2024.

The third hire has yet to be named and each of their positions has also yet to be announced.
It will be interesting to see who end up replacing Don Mattingly as the bench coach.
