The Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Alek Manoah has been slowly recovering from Tommy John surgery and the team just announced that he is seriously closed to coming back.
Manoah has been slowly but surely progressing towards a return to the mound and the team announced last month that he would likely be coming back to the rotation in early August.

Manoah has been working tirelessly in Dunedin to rehab his arm and it looks like he is finally getting close to returning to the mound for the first time since last season.
According to reports, Manoah is expected to have one more live bullpen session before beginning his first minor league rehab stint like in the next week or two.

While getting back prime Manoah would surely make the Blue Jays a serious contender for the World Series, getting a more recent version of Manoah back might end costing them some games.
