Toronto Blue Jays George Springer might be moved out of his role as DH for the World Series according to manager John Schneider.
George Springer might be moved out of DH spot
The
Blue Jays are still looking at all of their options when it comes to Bo Bichette but it looks like there is a good chance that he ends up taking Springer's DH role for the World Series.
Schneider stated that Springer is very capable of playing the outfield and that he does not want to put players into area they are not comfortable in but he knows Springer could manager there.
George Springer is "very" capable of playing the outfield if needed, per John Schneider. Says he'd prefer not to take players out of their comfort zone but sounds confident that Springer could play OF as needed.
There has been no guarantees yet as the Blue Jays are still not certain how they will end up using Bichette in this series but it looks like Springer is ready for the move if needed.

Springer is not the defender he once was but is far from a liability when in the outfielder which is why Schneider is so confident in moving him there is Bichette becomes DH.
The Blue Jays infielders have all been playing great baseball in the post-season which is why the team is looking at changing as few things as possible and not having Bichette play shortstop.
