The Blue Jays pitcher Trevor Richards seemed to have a high value heading into the trade deadline as many contenders are looking to improve their bullpen before the playoffs.
Unfortunately, in his last 7 appearances, Richards has pitched 15 innings, giving up 15 hits, 15 earned runs and 6 walks.
A few weeks ago Trevor Richards seemed like an intriguing trade candidate, but in his last 7 appearances, he has pitched 6.0 innings while allowing 15 hits, 15 earned runs & 6 walks. Has been a big part of Blue Jays' bullpen, but struggles coming at an inopportune time.
This is bad news for the Jays would could have taken advantage of his solid season to get a good return at the deadline but as things look right now, they will likely have to hold onto him.
