The Blue Jays placed Kirk on 7 day IL with a concussion after he took a foul tip to the head which he seems to have recovered from quite quickly as he is set to return soon.

Kirk was in Buffalo last night on a rehab assignment in which he showed that he has fully recovered from is concussion as he was humming at the plate despite the loss.

The Blue Jays announced after the game that Kirk is expected to return to the Blue Jays lineup on Sunday to face the Kansas City Royals according to manager John Schneider.

This is great news for Toronto who has been struggling immensely since Kirk went down as they had a brutal series loss to the Baltimore Orioles then got smoked by the Royals 9-3 last night.
While Kirk will not be able to singlehandedly make the team win, he will surely bring a lot of needed confidence back into the Blue Jays clubhouse after how they have been playing.
It will be interesting to see how the Blue Jays bounce back this afternoon from yesterday's loss.
