According to reports, Santander has been progressing in his recovery and is now hitting high velocity pitches from the pitching machine and the next step is likely live batting practice.

Santander still has a long road back but if he continues to progress rapidly he will be able to join the team towards the end of the season or for the playoffs.
Since Santander really struggled earlier this season, the big issue with his return is seeing if he will actually improve the team when he is back or cause problems in the lineup.
