Isiah Kiner-Falefa had his first big game back with the Toronto Blue Jays last night with the game tying hit against the Houston Astros and after the game took a shot at the Pittsburgh Pirates during his post-game interview.

The Blue Jays claimed Kiner-Falefa off waivers a couple weeks ago from the Pirates to add some much needed infield depth which came at a perfect time with Bo Bichette being placed on IL yesterday.

Kiner-Falefa had a big moment last night as he had a 2-RBI hit to tie up the game against the Astros in the bottom of the 9th innings which the Blue Jays went on to win in the 10th 4-3.

After the game, Kiner-Falefa spoke with reporters after the game stating that he went to Pittsburgh in hopes of moments like this but that everything comes full circle.

“I visualized it walking up to the plate. I was like… I went to Pittsburgh for this hit right here. It's all come full circle.”

Kiner-Falefa added that he is very happy to be back with the Toronto Blue Jays organization and that he is thankful that the organization is such a big believer of his.

“This is why I signed in Toronto the first time. To get that opportunity to get the big hit, I'm just so happy to be back ... I'm thankful for this organization for being my biggest believer.”

Many were wondering why the Blue Jays took a chance on bringing him back but with Bichette out for at least the next week, the move is looking better by the minute.
