Jeff Hoffman makes some interesting comments after Blue Jays loss
The Toronto Blue Jays closer Jeff Hoffman spoke to the media this afternoon after another tough performance in a 4-1 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers.
Many have been questioning Hoffman's job as the team's closer lately but manager John Schneider recently stated that he has all the faith in the world in Hoffman and will keep him as the closer.

The Blue Jays had Hoffman come into the game to close it out this afternoon and things went south quickly as he gave up 3 hits and 3 earned runs in 0.2 innings pitched with 1 walk and 0 strikeouts.
After the game Hoffman stated that he is disappointed in himself for letting the team down with how he is playing as he knows that the team is playing well and doesn't want to be the guy that ruins the game for all of them.
Jeff Hoffman spoke with us and said that he's disappointed, but confident he can adjust and bounce back again:

Hoffman added that he needs to pitcher more inside, he knows his stuff has not been great and stated that the adjustments that need to be made are not worth mentioning since reporters would not understand.
Hoffman says he needs to pitch inside, adding:
«My stuff has not been great and when the stuff's not great and the execution's not great, that's when you get hit.»

The good news is that Hoffman seems hopeful that he will snap out of this slump he is currently in.
The bad news is that the playoffs are rapidly approaching and Hoffman has a 11.37 ERA in his last 7 games in 6.1 innings pitched.
