Jeff Passan reveals crucial update on the Blue Jays negotiations with Kyle Tucker
MLB insider Jeff Passan revealed quite the update regarding the Toronto Blue Jays and Kyle Tucker this morning.
There has been a lot of rumors that the Blue Jays are pushing to land Tucker this off-season and even Myles Straw has gotten in on the action trying to recruit his former teammate.
Jeff Passan states the Blue Jays are the favorites to land Kyle Tucker
During a recent report from Passan, he made a lot of interesting comments regarding the current free agent market and gave the Blue Jays fan base quite the update when it comes to Tucker.
According to Passan, the Blue Jays are considered by other MLB executives as the favorites to land Tucker which does not mean it is a guarantee but it is certainly a step in the right direction.

However, Passan did also mention that the Philadelphia Phillies could end up emerging as a front runner to land Tucker as well if they end up letting go of slugger Kyle Schwarber.
If Schwarber leaves Philadelphia, Tucker makes plenty of sense there, particularly as the Phillies pivot to get younger, with 21-year-old Justin Crawford expected to enter spring training as the favorite to win their center field job. -Passan
The chances of Tucker signing early in free agency are slim since he will likely take his time to look at all his options and offers before taking a decision but the Blue Jays are definitely in a good spot as of right now.
