The Toronto Blue Jays have been linked to this year's top free agent in Kyle Tucker and his former teammates Myles Straw took a shot at recruiting him online.

The Blue Jays have been linked to Tucker earlier into free agency and some even have considered them the top landing spot for the former Chicago Cubs slugger.

Myles Straw tries to recruit Kyle Tucker on social media

The biggest story so far this off-season has been surrounding Tucker and where he will end up signing and how big of a contract he will end up getting as many expect him to sign for around $300 million.

Tucker took to social media yesterday to announce that he and his wife are expecting a little boy soon which is when his former teammate and current Blue Jay, Straw tried to recruit him.

After Tucker and his wife announced that they were expecting their first child in an Instagram post, Straw commented for the four-time All-Star to join the Blue Jays and offered to help babysit. -Bachar

Straw commented under the photo saying that Tucker should come play for the Blue Jays so that Straw can babysit for the couple.

Tucker and Straw played together for the Houston Astros and developed a close friendship as he was a groomsman at Straw's wedding.

Straw and Tucker were previously teammates on the Houston Astros from 2018 through the start of the 2021 season. Tucker was also a groomsman at Straw's wedding. -Bachar

While this attempt was not a serious recruiting pitch, clearly both the Blue Jays players and management would love to add Straw to their lineup for next season if they can agree on a deal this winter.
