Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider announced this afternoon ahead of game 2 the starting pitchers for game 3 and 4 of the World Series.

Ahead of the series, a projected starter matchup was announced with Shane Bieber getting game 3 followed by Max Scherzer for game 4 but it looks like that is not the case.

Schneider met with reporters just now and informed them that Scherzer will be getting the ball Monday night in Los Angeles for game 3.
Bieber will end up getting game 4 after all which came as a bit of a surprise.
#BlueJays starters:

Game 3: Max Scherzer
Game 4: Shane Bieber
The reason behind the decision seems to be that the Blue Jays want to give Bieber an extra day of rest on Tuesday night in Los Angeles for game 4.

Game 4 in LA - Shane Bieber

John Schneider wanted to give Bieber an extra day, and feels confident with two veterans pitching on the road .
When looking back at the ALCS Scherzer was lights out for the Blue Jays while Bieber struggled a bit more which is why it will be interesting to see how they do against the Dodgers.
The Blue Jays have Kevin Gausman on the mound tonight for game 2 as he will look to continue his hot streak so far in the playoffs and give the Blue Jays a 2-0 lead in the World Series which no one saw coming.
