Kevin Pillar decided to retire earlier this season and it looks like he is returning to Toronto as part of the Toronto Blue Jays broadcast crew for the playoffs.

Sportsnet announced their full broadcast team for the playoffs this morning which many were surprised to see Pillar was among the on-field reporters with Hazel Mae and Caleb Joseph.

Pillar took to social media after the post to state that he was very excited to be joining such a great group of broadcasters and that he is even more excited for Toronto playoffs baseball.

Pillar was part of the last Blue Jays team's to go deep in the playoffs back in the mid 2010's which is why his insight will certainly be great to hear for fans as the series goes on.
First pitch for game 1 of the ALDS takes place on Saturday afternoon at 4:08 PM at the Rogers Centre with coverage starting at 2:30 PM.
