BREAKING: The Dodgers have activated Kiké Hernández
They have DFA'd Buddy Kennedy in the process.
Kiké is back from injury just over a month away from October
Kennedy did not have a great experience in Los Angeles as he went 1 for 17 in 7 games, finishing with a 0.59 batting average, 0 homeruns and 0 RBIs in 17 at bats.
#Dodgers have activated Kike' Hernandez from the IL and DFAed Buddy Kennedy. Kennedy was 1 for 17 in 7 games with his 3rd team this season. Hernandez has been out with a left elbow injury since July 5
The 26 year old first baseman will not be looking for his fourth team of the season after spending time with the Blue Jays, Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies.
Due to his age and MLB experience over the last few seasons, there is a good chance that Kennedy is claimed off waivers or signing to a minor league deal once he clears waivers.
Kennedy has seen a total of 29 major league at bats this season with only 2 hits and 1 RBI for a 0.69 batting average and .156 on base percentage in 13 games in 2025.
While his numbers have not been great, Kennedy should be able to find himself a new home before the end of the season.
