Manager John Schneider makes strange comment regarding Kikuchi trade

The Blue Jays traded pitcher Yusei Kikuchi to the Astros yesterday for 3 prospects and following the trade manager John Schneider had some interesting comments.

Schneider was asked about the trade by reporters in which he did not say a single say about Kikuchi and only stated that he loved what the Blue Jays got in return.

ohn Schneider was excited about the #BlueJays' return for Yusei Kikuchi after the game, saying he "loved what we got."

"I really like what we did and it shows we're going to get after it next year."

While Schneider is not wrong is saying that the Blue Jays got a good deal for Kikuchi, it is strange that he had nothing to say about the pitcher who has been with the organization since 2022.
