Mark Shapiro reveals the Toronto Blue Jays plans in free agency moving forward

The Toronto Blue Jays had a solid off-season so far but Mark Shapiro and Ross Atkins understand they are still a few pieces away from being ready for the season, a player like Kyle Tucker, Alex Bregman or Bo Bichette would be a good start.
The Blue Jays are heavily rumored with all three despite a few bad update regarding Tucker lately but they need to get something done and soon before other teams swoop in.
The Blue Jays have more work to do.
Peter Chawaga of Forbes reported on a recent appearance of Mark Shapiro on MLB Network's radio show.
He expressed the Blue Jays need more firepower, especially position players. They have done a lot of work in the pitching department with Dylan Cease, Cody Ponce, Tyler Rogers etc. But they have yet to land that star position player.
"Now the team could be pursuing top-tier bats like Alex Bregman, Kyle Tucker or Bo Bichette for their next addition. In a recent appearance on MLB Network Radio, Blue Jays president Mark Shapiro indicated that the team isn't content with its roster construction at this point."-Peter Chawaga
The Blue Jays are not resting on their laurels from last season, now they have a target on their back especially in the AL East, after knocking out the New York Yankees in the ALDS, and the Boston Red Sox loading up for a good season. The Blue Jays will need to squeeze out every possible win they can to win the division for a second consecutive year.

Some big news should be expected shortly after the holiday break. The Blue Jays want to sign one of those big three as early as possible to avoid competition from other teams. Which of the three is big question.
