The Blue Jays manager on the other hand stated that he has been waiting on this moment since the Blue Jays signed Scherzer in the off-season as he knew it was coming.
John Schneider on his early mound visit to Max Scherzer:
«I've been waiting for that moment since our first zoom call in the offseason.»
«I thought he was going to kill me. It was great.» #BlueJays

Clearly all is good between the two as both of them were joking about the incident after the game.
Scherzer is clearly a big time competitor and wanted to stay in the game as long as possible with the way he was pitching last night.
Fans do not call him Mad Max for now reason and last night his alter-ego was on full display against the Mariners but that same fire is what makes him such a talent pitcher and future hall of famer.
