Toronto Blue Jays veteran pitcher Max Scherzer had an interview this afternoon in which he hinted at his future involving the Blue Jays.

The San Francisco Giants are apparently very interested in Scherzer this off-season and many believe that he will end up signing there.

Max Scherzer hints at a return in Toronto

During a recent interview, Scherzer was asked about his playoff run with the Blue Jays and how it felt to lose such a close game 7 in the World Series to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Scherzer stated that him as well as the rest of the team feel like there is unfinished business there and they all want to get right back there next year.

straight-up asked Max Scherzer if there's unfinished business in Toronto…

He sure said WE and OUR a lot.

Did he tip his hand?

From the sound of the interview, it looks like Scherzer would love to return to Toronto next season as he is not satisfied with losing and being that close to a World Series win just to end up empty handed.

Many have stated that the Blue Jays would simply be better off going after a younger and more consistent pitcher in free agency than Scherzer due to his age and injury problems.

While there are certainly some great options out there for Toronto, if they could bring back Scherzer on a hometown discount, it might be worth the risk with the way he pitcher in the playoffs.

Scherzer clearly still has some gas left in the tank and if he is this eager to return to Toronto, they might be able to get a very good deal on a one year contract.
