The Toronto Blue Jays have had a rough off-season so far and MLB insider Shi Davidi took it upon himself to point that out bashing the Blue Jays front office in his most recent article.
The Blue Jays have had a brutal off-season so far as they are not much ahead of the Miami Marlins who have yet to spend a single dollar this off-season, even though the Blue Jays have spent money, it is nothing to write home about.
MLB insider Shi Davidi Bashes the Blue Jays in recent article
The Blue Jays have had a seriously tough off-season as they have targeted all kind of talented players such as Juan Soto, Teoscar Hernandez and Corbin Burnes but all these free agents keep using them as stepping stones to raise their market value.
In Shi Davidi's most recent article, he pointed out how unappealing the Blue Jays have been this off-season to free agent while also sharing some tough quotes from agents around the league.
As a result, the industry seems to have treated the Blue Jays like the party guest who's a two at 10 p.m. just waiting to become someone's 10 at 2 a.m.
«They act like they're a bottom-feeder,» lamented one agent.
«The Michael Phelps of silver medals,» said another.
«They're like the Giants the past couple of winters,» added a third. -Davidi
Davidi did add afterwards that there is still plenty of off-season business still to be done and that the Blue Jays can turn this around but they need to start making moves soon.
Harsh as all that may be, fair or not, it's the Blue Jays' perception to wear and to persevere through, since there's plenty more off-season business still to happen, for them and others. -Davidi
Clearly GM Ross Atkins is making the Blue Jays out to be the laughing stock of the league with how they are managing this off-season and if he doesn't turn this around, they will have an even harder time signing players next year.
