The Toronto Blue Jays have been the only Canadian baseball team in the MLB for more than 20 years now since the Expos moved to Washington back in 2004.

Montreal has been pushing for a return to the MLB for quite a few years now with many believing that it could be a real possibility ever since the Tampa Bay Rays were expected to split there season between Montreal and Tampa Bay which never ended up happening.
This big news could also end up being that the Olympic Stadium in Montreal could be hosting some pre season MLB games for the first time since 2019 when the Blue Jays played a couple sold out games at the Olympic Stadium.
