For a while after the World Series, it seemed that Bo Bichette would not be returning to the Toronto Blue Jays, with teams like the Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers and Atlanta Braves all interested him, however the narrative is now turning in favour of the Blue Jays.

Bichette is rumoured to be signing a 7 year, $210M contract with the Blue Jays, which would be half the price of signing Kyle Tucker.

Bichette is staying in Toronto per new report.

Zach Pressnell of Newsweek reported on the recent statement made by Tim Kelly of Bleacher Report, stating Bichette will likely land with the Blue Jays when it is all said and done. Bichette was one of their best players this season and they cannot afford to let him walk.
"The Dodgers have long been rumored to like Bichette, while the Braves, Tigers, Angels and Red Sox could all make sense, particularly if he's not hell-bent on remaining at shortstop forever. Still, it's the incumbent Blue Jays that make the most sense."-Kelly

Unfortunately for the Blue Jays they are gonna have to exceed a $200M contract, given all the attention Bichette has received from other teams in the league. As well as his performance in the World Series despite being extremely limited physically.
The latest projections have him signing a 7 year deal worth $210 million which would be a great deal when looking at how much teams are paying nowadays.
"They could have Bichette play shortstop in 2026, or move him to second base and keep Andrés Giménez at shortstop. Given how close the Blue Jays were to winning it all, it feels like Bichette has unfinished business in the six."-Kelly

The Blue Jays have two priorities this winter, strengthening their bullpen/starting rotations, and keeping Bichette.
They will be slightly limited in capital if Bichette signs the predicted deal, but something has to give, they cannot have the best of both worlds. Hopefully it will be enough for the Blue Jays to get the job done.
