In recent positive news Toronto Blue Jays sluggerAnthony Santander has begun his pathway back to an MLB return after suffering a shoulder injury, the slugger will bolster an already deep Blue Jays lineup if he were to return.

Alek Manoah has also been slowly making his way back with a possibility of him returning for the end of the season as he is building momentum in Triple-A.

Anthony Santander could arrive just in time for Blue Jays

Thomas Hall of Blue Jays Nation recently covered the recovery progress of Anthony Santander and it looks like he might end up making a return this season after all.
"It's mostly been tee drills and hitting in the cages so far. But the 30-year-old advanced to the next stage in his recovery this week and is now facing high-velocity pitching machines. From there, assuming he avoids any setbacks, the next step will likely include participating in live batting practice in Toronto before heading out on a minor-league rehab assignment. That's when the possibility of a late-season return will start to gain momentum."-Hall

While many wonder have wondered if Santander would return at all, fans are now wondering if he could return before the postseason which is great news for the club.
"When asked a few weeks ago about a potential timeline for Santander's return, manager John Schneider loosely threw out the second week of September as an initial target for the switch-hitting outfielder, adding that it'll all depend on how his body responds while ramping up. He also said that it'll likely require a lengthy rehab stint, considering his last game came on May 29 - almost three months ago."-Hall

It is not just if he is healthy however, his conditioning stint will most likely have to start right away in triple-a as single-a ends September 7th.
It might be hard for him to be Major League ready before October but there is still hope.
The Blue Jays are already very well balanced both on offence and defense/pitching. The addition of Santander is a luxury to have but not a necessity.
Regardless of whether he is ready or not there is little worry about regarding the Blue Jays lineup come postseason time.
