The Blue Jays have
Manoah make his second start of his rehab assignment in Dunedin this afternoon and things went quite well for the former Cy Young finalist.
Manoah completed the two innings Toronto wanted him to pitch and ended with giving up 3 hits, 1 earned run, 2 strikeouts and 16 strikes on a total of 28 pitches.

3 H

0 BB

28 pitches (16 strikes).
While these stats don't jump off the page, they are a great step in the right direction for Manoah who has been recovering for more than a year after having Tommy John surgery last season.

At this rate, Manoah will hopefully begin to soon jump up in the minors and be in Buffalo with the Bisons in a couple weeks before finally returning to the mound for the Blue Jays.
If the Blue Jays can somehow find a way to get things with Manoah he can be the exact thing they need to take them over the hump and make them true World Series contenders.
