Starting pitcher Chris Bassitt has now been out with a lower back injury since the last week of the season but it looks like the Toronto Blue Jays might be getting him back just in time for the ALDS.

Multiple transactions were made involving Bassitt and a few other players ahead of the ALDS as they needed to activate their injured players that they might use in the playoffs.

Injury update announce on Chris Bassitt

Manager John Schneider stated yesterday that the Blue Jays are looking at a few different plans when it comes to their starting rotation but did not go into details on what those are.
"As expected, the Blue Jays declined to share their rotation plans just yet. That'll change within a couple days, but for now they have «a few plans in place for a variety of different reasons,» -Schneider

Bassitt seems to be a part of those plans as it looks like he will be back in the lineup for the start of the ALDS as he is expected to pitch a simulation game today.
Follow-up for Jose Berrios showed no structural damage in elbow, but he won't be a factor in ALDS as he's still not throwing. Possible he's ready later in the playoffs.

Chris Bassitt, meanwhile, progressing well and should be available for ALDS.
"Chris Bassitt is slated to pitch in Thursday's simulated game, at which point the Blue Jays should have a better sense of whether he's ready to return from the injured list. José Berrios, on the other hand, hasn't resumed throwing and will miss this round, at least." -Sportsnet

Bassitt will likely get put back into the Blue Jays rotation for the ALDS but there is still some big questions marks surrounding Max Scherzer and Trey Yesavage.
Kevin Gausman is expected to start game 1 but the starters for the next two games have yet to be confirmed.
Getting Bassitt back for the ALDS will be huge for the Blue Jays as their rotation is currently missing quite a few pieces.
