The Toronto Blue Jays are still in need of adding some offense this winter and a recent report suggests that things are heating up with free agent Anthony Santander.
The Blue Jays are in need of offense and even manager John Schneider spoke of it at the Winter Meetings stating that they need a player to pair with Vladimir Guerrero Jr to have more than one offensive threat.

The Blue Jays have been linked to multiple offensive players this off-season but since Juan Soto signed with the Mets, there are not a ton of offensive threats left on the free agent board.
According to a recent report, the Blue Jays seem to be in talks with not only outfielder Teoscar Hernandez but with former Baltimore Orioles Anthony Santander as well.

Bringing in Santander would surely help the Blue jays offense as he has consistently hit over 30 homeruns throughout his career and is coming off a career high with 44 in 2024.
Just as with Teoscar Hernandez, the Blue Jays are far from the only team interested in Santander as the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox seem to be very interested in the former Oriole as well.

Whether the Blue Jays close on Santander or Hernandez, they need to bring in at least one of these two players if they want to see their offense improve next season.
It is simply impossible to win with only one offensive threat at the plate in Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
