Also signed René Pinto.
Bethancourt is not the only player that has been released as Nunez is also headed back into free agency.

Letting go of Nunez is certainly the more surprising move out of the two as he has shown signs of a solid player despite struggling a bit over the last few months with the Buffalo Bisons.
Interesting to see Rainer Nunez let go. Turns 25 in December and has really struggled in Triple-A the last couple months, but showed signs of putting it together earlier in the year and posted a max EV of 119.6 mph this season.
Bethancourt had 7 homeruns and 21 RBIs with a .173 batting average and .219 on base percentage in 58 games this season.
Nunez did not do much better as he had 7 homeruns, 30 RBIs, a .252 batting average and .323 on base percentage in 81 games this season.
