Ryan Borucki apparently does not want to leave Toronto
When the Blue Jays decide to DFA Borucki, many were surprised since he was just signed and did not get tested much only playing a total of 4.1 innings with the Blue Jays.
According to Arden Zwelling, Borucki has let the organization know that he does not want to leave and there seems to be a good chance that he clears waivers and reports to the Buffalo Bisons.
Ryan Borucki - who was DFA'ed by the Blue jays today - told the club his preference is to remain with the organization, per manager John Schneider
Good chance he clears waivers and reports to triple-A Buffalo
This season with the Blue Jays Borucki only pitched in a total of 4 games with 4.1 innings pitched, giving up 3 hits and 0 earned runs for a 0.00 ERA while striking out 5 batters and a 1.62 WHIP.
If the Blue Jays manage to hold onto Borucki for the the playoffs he could end up being a great option for them but that all depends on if he clears waivers.
The good news is that it looks like he has no plan on leaving if he is able to clear waivers and report to the Buffalo Bisons for his assignment.
It will be interesting to see how all of this plays out over the next few days.
