Seattle Mariners sign former Blue Jays 38 year old pitcher
The Seattle Mariners announced this evening that they have agreed to a contract with 38 year old former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Casey Lawrence.
The Blue Jays along with their former players have been quite busy in free agency so far this off-season as the Yankees just signed Michael Arias to a minor league deal this afternoon.

Lawrence decided to elect free agency at the start of the off-season which fans were a bit surprised about since they thought he did a solid job this season and expected him to stay.

Just a couple weeks later, the Mariners announced that they have agreed to a minor league deal with Lawrence this evening.

Lawrence, 38, pitched to a 4.08 ERA ERA in 17.2 MLB innings with the Blue Jays and Mariners last year. Pitched to a 5.31 ERA in 100 innings for Triple-A Tacoma.

Lawrence, 38, pitched to a 4.08 ERA ERA in 17.2 MLB innings with the Blue Jays and Mariners last year. Pitched to a 5.31 ERA in 100 innings for Triple-A Tacoma.
The Blue Jays claimed Lawrence off waivers earlier this season but after a tough stretch, they end up letting him go as the Mariners claimed him off waivers.
His time in Seattle went a lot better than in Toronto as he finished with a 3.00 ERA in 15 innings pitched to go along with 6 strike outs in 5 games.
This seems to be a solid depth signing for the Mariners.
