Toronto Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk has been having a phenomenal season and is now being considered as one of the best Blue Jays catchers of all-time despite only being in his fifth season.

Alejandro Kirk and Vladimir Guerrero Jr were the two players that represented the Blue Jays at this year's All-Star game which was Guerrero's fifth appearance and Kirk's second.

Alejandro Kirk being considered one of the best Blue Jays catchers of all-time despite only being 26 years old

Kirk is having an incredible 2025 season which resulted in him being selected to the All-Star team after hitting 7 homeruns and 45 RBIs with a .303 batting average in 81 games so far this season.
On the defensive side, Kirk has also being incredible due to his skills blocking and framing pitched as he currently has a .992 fielding percentage with only 5 errors on the season and 27 assists.
Thanks largely to this defensive contribution - primarily driven by blocking and framing - his career fWAR (13.1) is already second only to Whitt (21.1) among Blue Jays catchers. The same projection method used above to determine where he could land on the offensive statistic leaderboard indicates he should end his current contract with approximately 31 fWAR, a total that would put him head and shoulders above Whitt and the rest of the pack. -Ashbourne

Due to his play this season with a incredible 211wRC+ and the fact that many would look at him as the team's MVP in 2025, he was recently considered one of the best catchers in franchise history.
He might just be the team's MVP in 2025, and the Blue Jays' decision to keep him in Toronto through his prime is looking better and better. Not only does his contract ensure Toronto has a competent starting catcher through the rest of the decade, but it may have also locked in a historically significant figure for the franchise. -Ashbourne

While Kirkis undoubtedly having a phenomenal season this year and is a big reason for Toronto's success, it is hard to consider him as one of the best Blue Jays catchers of all-time when he is only in his fifth season.
If Kirk is able to continue to play at this level for a few more years and continues to be a driving force for the Blue Jays, he will certainly be in that conversation but for the time being it is still a little early.
