According to the report, Guerrero is ranked as the worst base runner in the MLB with a -6 runs added throughout the 2024 season meaning he cost the Blue Jays 6 chances to score this past season without giving them any extra points.
Unfortunately for Guerrero Jr., he's dead last in the league, with -6 runs added over the course of the 2024 season. (Hat tip to Reddit user That_Monty for pointing it out.)
In layman's terms, that roughly means that Guerrero's baserunning cost the Blue Jays six chances to score last season: four times while attempting to take an extra base and twice while trying to steal bases (he had two stolen bases this year while being caught twice). -Lasarkis
While no one thinks of Guerrero as a baserunning threat, most fans likely thought that Giancarlo Stanton was the worst baserunner in baseball especially after that incident in the World Series.
The good news for Guerrero is that if he continues to hit the way he did in 2024 next season, he does not have to worry too much about baserunning.
